But think about it. In your attempt to make something new, you shatter something beautiful that's already there: friendship. There is a risk, especially when you're friends with this person, and don't want to spoil it.

I never confessed to my crush cos they were going overseas for a year (the next year), and it just didn't feel right to tell someone especially if you aren't gonna see them for a long time

this is mostly true but still be careful because in some cases of really close friendship it could get awkward and hard to deal with, one of my closest friends confessed a crush on me and kept talking about it, which made me uncomfortable and alienated me for a while. but in most cases it should be okay and i think that it's better to confess than keep it in, good luck y'all <3

Just imagine if someone have a crush on you but you don't really into them at all, do you think they will have a big potential?

I mean, obviously not if they know that, but the gains are still bigger than the losses.

Someone who has been my friend for years recently confessed. He said how he is in love with me and why and how he just needed to get it out. And while i dont reciprocate in that way, we have been closer since then than we were before and I know it sucks because he knows how I feel about his best friend and yet still, we are close and its wonderful.
