When I started high school I was a shy, innocent, and sensitive girl. I didn’t have any friends and I was so stressed out that I attempted suicide more than once. I had no one to talk to and no shoulder to lean on. I was a mess. Then I met my best friend. And we met our other best friend. We were on top of the world. Halfway through 1st semester sophomore year I was told I was moving to a different state in less than a month. My birthday was a couple weeks away and I wouldn‘t be able to spend it with my best friends. I finished the year strong. Now I’m in my junior year. I met you in one of my classes and it was love at first sight. I don’t know what you think about me. I know you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Yes you have a girlfriend and yes you are a Senior and you will probably be leaving this horrible state for college. But I can’t give up on you. I can’t lose you. Hopefully you know how much I like you and you may feel the same. You’re the only thing keeping me here, keeping me from becoming my freshman self all over again.

We need more people like you in this world- sensitive, sweet, big heart... I hope this person sees all these wonderful things I can see in you, just by how you express yourself- regardless of that person’s status.

I think you should reach out to the crush. Maybe even meet the gf too...befriend both of them, so by the time he leaves, you will have permanent contact. You have about 7 months to achieve this goal. Very do-able. And who knows what may happen in the future? ?

Thanks for sharing. Keep us posted.

Delaney- thanks. I used to be shy and perhaps I’m some ways I still am. Definitely still sensitive...so I guess I can identify with you.

Well one thing my sisters’s unexpected death taught me is that life goes go by very quickly... in fact in the blink of an eye...especially the School years, so I don’t want you to have any “what-ifs?” Or “what could have beens?” In your life... like me.... I had a few...

Of course I am not implying that you should try to wreck a relationship or throw yourself at this crush...but I just hope you can make the most of the situation...and who knows? The crush isn’t married, right? You never know...and even if you don’t acquire the crush, you might make a life-long connection that may lead to who knows what.

Just remember: hope is everything, and try to take every opportunity to be happy while you in the Land of the Living- provided you are not hurting yourself or any one else along the way.

God bless you.
