i'm writing a story about falling out of love, but it's kind of hard to do when i've never even fallen in love. i know what love feels like. i know how to express romantic love, and people have told me that i'm good at it. but when all i want to do is love, all i want to do is spread love, how am i supposed to write about losing it? what does falling out of love feel like?

The opposite of love is not hate. It is indifference. Nothingness.

I have experienced death in my family. I have also experienced loss of true love....

...They feel very similar. True Love loss is like a death of sorts. And You go through all the stages, denial, anger, grief, acceptance, etc. And like death, the stages are not linear. You might go “backwards” several times before final acceptance.

If it’s true love, you feel like you lost a part of yourself. It’s devastating. You question your self-worth, looks, personality, everything. You ask questions like am I compatible with anyone? Why was I so way to cast aside? Will I ever have someone that I truly love again?

You also act differently- might eat more or less, be more cautious or reckless, sleep too much or lose sleep.

People can see the pain in your eyes.

Hope this helps. Glad you don’t know this pain and have to ask about it....

Hope this helps.
