Good people are usually not that ambitious

We all have different definition of ambition mine is career

Career ambition isn't always that healthy either, it depends. It can because of lack of love or connection, some basic needs going unmet in life.

Yea.... OP, don't let others detract you from your career aspirations because they lack the motivation to better themselves.

Your career will never leave you.

I mean life does not necessarily revolved around romantic relationships. It can mean good friends, colleagues. Just good people that are good for my well being, someone that inspires you to thrive more in life.

People nowadays literally like to find a needle on a fucking haystack. I guess we all just have different aspirations and definitions of stuff in life and that doesn't mean that yours isn't true or less important from my perspective.
